Just realised its been over a month since anything was wrote on this blog so I will fill you in on whats been going on over the last few weeks.
Haunted Live & Xtreme is only 5 days away now and everything is in place for the show. We have just received the sounds for it from Tollbooth Music and I am very pleased to say we are once again very impressed. Tollbooth are the company we use for all the attractions musical scores that we do and they haven't disappointed us. The best thing about using them is that the sounds they create are ours, unique to us and you wont hear them anywhere else. Its a bit more of a cost but I think its worth it rather than sticking on a CD from Midnight Syndicate and having sounds that anyone else could use.
The lighting is also in place now and has once again been supplied by Karl Risdale from the Playhouse, another regular on our attractions. The actors are ready but we had 2 people who could no longer make it which is a huge shame as it was Katie Hastings and Rob Cummings from the London Dungeon (they acted for us in Killers Live). Work commitments meant they could not get the time off but we have replaced them with 2 other actors from Killers so we are back on track.
Pre-sale tickets have been good so far with Friday almost sold out but there are still quite a few left for Sunday and bank holiday Monday but we hope these will go soon once the actors hit York in full costume and makeup handing out flyer's to tourists.
On Thursday the 25th we are having a VIP launch night for the show with press, radio and industry officials coming down to experience the attraction before we open to the public. We are then having an after show party at the Golden Fleece on York with food and champagne for the guests. Fingers crossed the beer will be flowing and we can finally enjoy a pint or 6 and relax!!!
Not much to update on Bunker 13 yet. The props are being made for us by various companies, the lighting system has been decided and the musical score is being wrote. I will update on this further after Haunted has finished and give a full brief on where we are with the show
That's all for now, hopefully we will see you at Haunted Live & Xtreme next weekend

Weekly Update
Its been a good few days since this was updated so here is what has happened since last time. Well, the official Bunker 13 website is now online, have a look if you haven't already - www.bunker13-live.co.uk I think the website and video complement each other perfectly and I love the overall vibe of the thing. So far, all responses to the Bunker stuff has been very positive so fingers crossed we are on to a winner with this one. We are also setting up/have set up Facebook pages for Bunker. As a bit of a promotional thing we have decided to set up rival camps, fore and against the opening of the bunker. We will be ramping this up as the weeks tick by to Halloween but have a look for the pages and "like" whichever camp you fancy siding with!
Right, on to Haunted, the artwork for the posters and flyer's is done (scroll to the bottom to see the flyer front) and the website is being built right now, hopefully for a launch next week as its not as technical as the Bunker site. Tickets will be sold online through the site via paypal so hopefully we will be able to gauge how busy we are going to be!!
Right, one last piece of news. Although we cant say too much yet we have a 2nd Halloween attraction this year. It will be in West Yorkshire and its something we ain't done before which is really exciting. I hate the whole "I know something you dont" but we really cant say yet what it is but it has a working title of "Mission X", as soon as I can announce it I will.

We got the finished promo video yesterday from Better Than Joe Media and, to put it bluntly, its the best we have ever done! Have a look at the link below for the 2 minute film and see what you think. The website should be up Friday and tickets will be on sale after that so, fingers crossed, we should be rolling by the weekend. The props are all coming along nicely and we are about to order a VERY special piece of kit from America which will add a whole new level of fear inside the maze.

Haunted - Live & Xtreme Story
For those of you that are interested this is the official backstory for the attraction in York this August bank holiday weekend
Stonegate, the oldest street in the city of York, has been witness to countless acts of murder, mayhem and chaos over the centuries. First accounts of this road date back to 1118 and stone used in York’s great Minster was brought along this very same cobbled path. The street is also famous for being home to the Haunted House of York, a place of ghosts, restless spirits and things that defy understanding but most people are not aware of exactly what went on in that foreboding property many, many years ago. The time of great darkness is almost upon us, the return of the evil itself is getting closer and things on Stonegate will never be the same again for this August in the year of our lord 2011 Hell itself is predicted to spill over into our world and complete a prophecy lost in the mists of history!

Sir Thomas Vanderbelt, by day a respected blacksmith, by night a sorcerer, necromancer, alchemist, satanic magician! Having summoned up the forces of hell a void spilled over into our world releasing demons, monsters and a whole host of macabre creature’s intent on devouring the flesh of anyone foolish enough to get too close.
The home to this insane world of terror and torment is reputedly the most haunted property in the city of York and YOU can experience the fear inside for yourself. From Friday the 26th to Monday the 29th of August 2011 the Haunted House of York will be transformed into your very worst nightmare. Utilising live actors, special effects, sounds, lighting and pure fear you will be plunged into a situation that you won’t forget. Strictly for over 18’s, Haunted - Live and Xtreme will assault all of your senses at once and leave you rocked, shocked, but thoroughly entertained.
Weekly Update
We have had quite a productive day today with Magna and Pixel One, the website designers. We have finalised budgets for Bunker 13 now so its full systems go and the website and promo video for the attraction should be live by Monday next week. We have also seen the work done so far on the new GNG Entertainment website and it’s looking very nice indeed. Hopefully this will be up and running in the next few weeks.
So, with Bunker 13, this is where we are. The full design for the maze is finished and approved and the architectural drawings are done. The H & S team at Magna have given the rubber stamp on the layout which was a load off our mind! We have a full prop list for everything we need to put into the maze and some of the more bespoke pieces are currently under construction. We have been approached by a student from Manchester University who is in her last year of studying special effects and makeup who will be joining the team to do the work on the creatures inside the show, we are very excited by this. The press packs are all done for the launch night and these will be sent out soon to try and get some good newspapers, radio stations etc down for the night along with the industry people, Michael Bolton from Scare Tours/Scarecon has already said he will be making an appearance to review the show so we better pull out all the stops!
Now, on to Haunted – Live and Xtreme. The website is now under construction and filming of the promo video should be happening next week all being well. We have quite a tight turnaround to get everything done as the show is in just over 2 months but we are confident it will all be sorted in time. Tickets for this one will be sold through PayPal or on the door of Haunted throughout the coming weeks. There will also be discounted entry for anyone who goes on the official Haunted tour as well. The back story has been approved and all the rooms have now been storyboarded and scripted. We have 25 actors who have applied to be part of the show so we should get some good talent for the 10 we need for the attraction.
That’s about it for those 2 shows, we are currently working on an outdoor event for Halloween under the working title “Blood Moon”, more on this when we get the official nod.

Bunker 13 Scare Attraction Back Story
Throughout the Cold War the world hung on the edge of Armageddon and total nuclear destruction with seemingly nothing more than a horrible death to look forward to. All sides in this unwinnable apocalypse battled to create even more powerful weapons with bigger explosive yields, faster delivery times and better launch capabilities to gain the first strike advantage. Whilst the super powers spent untold billions on their arsenal Britain decided to try something very, very different.
With the onset of all out nuclear war seemingly inevitable the British government set up a super secret organisation whose one aim was to ensure our country would continue to operate in the atomic aftermath. Known only as “The Occupants”, they created a network of bunkers and tunnel systems to experiment and devise ways of saving our society should the unthinkable actually happen. There most audacious task was to create a serum that, when injected into the human body, would stave off the effects of nuclear fallout and radiation allowing us to go about our daily lives without the need to be confined inside a fallout shelter. The Occupants worked throughout the whole of the 1960’s and into the 1970’s without ever succeeding in their goal. What was created inside the mysterious Bunker 13 never saw the light of day but after a leaked memo confirmed the practice of human experimentation and degrading, sickening acts against men and women the bunkers were shut down and sealed forever
Until now……
At the start of 2011 a routine site survey at the Magna Science Adventure Centre revealed a hidden tunnel. After considerable excavation the site team discovered the tunnel led directly to a large bunker complex of unknown origin. Without thinking of the consequences of their actions the team broke the seal and went inside, none of them were ever seen again.
This Halloween, dare you venture inside Bunker 13? A place of pure evil, a place of hideous creatures and a place of macabre experiments gone drastically wrong. Will you make it through the bunker complex alive or will you suffer the same fate as the Magna team? This is NOT going to be pleasant!
